We will be having a costume contest for any participating racers in the following catagories:

Four Categories 

Age up to 17 Youth Best Costume

Age 18 and older Adult/Female Best Costume 

Age 18 and older Adult/Male Costume 

Best Pet Costume 

We will have a gift basket full of goodies for each catagory. 

We ask that you keep all costumes in a respectful in nature.

Let's all come out and have a great time supporting a great cause.

Entry Fees

$25.00 early registration through October 20th. Guaranteed a T-Shirt. There will be a $3.75 processing fee when you sign up.

$35.00 October 21st thru day of race registration. We may have T-shirts available the day of the but we can not guarantee if you haven't registered by October 20th.

Charity Information

This 5k is to support the McDowell County WV Water Crisis.

The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) purchased a 500-gallon water truck known as the “water buffalo,” which cost around $12,000 and currently has monthly costs to be incurred for the truck to be filled multiple times during the month. McDowell County where water is contaminated. This is part of UMCOR’s W.A.S.H. (Water Sanitation and Hygiene) Program. 

Money will be used to provide funding for the truck to get water each month and gallons/bottled water as needed. It would allow people access to more water. Many live on 3 gallons of water a week.

Registration opens at 7:30 am on Saturday October 25th. We will be set up at Shelter 9 by the Lake.

If you wish to participate in the costume contest please be over at shelter 9 by no later than 8:25 am. Judging begins at 8:30 am.
